The Kitesurfing Taster lesson is the perfect way to find out what kitesurfing is all about and is the starting point for all Kite related sports. During your 3 hour kitesurfing lesson we will teach you the how to fly foil kites on the beach so that you can use full power with control so that we can move on to the more advanced skills needed to create traction ie: using the kite to move an object (you).
We do this by showing you how to increase the amount of power you can generate in order to skud, skid along on your feet, great fun. At this point your skills are finely tuned and you are more than ready to continue with all Kite related sports.
AIM: By the end of the lesson we aim to get you in control of your foil kite with the right skills so you are ready to carry on and learn to Kite surf or Kite buggy with us at Gwithian Beach or Long Rock beach near Penzance.

Below is a guide to what your instructor will teach you on your Kitesurfing Taster day
Part 1 – Foil Kites
In this module we introduce you to foil kites and teach you how to risk assess your flying zone, set up your kite, launch and fly your kite using the wind window and then how to land safely. Below are the individual parts of your lesson;
• Risk assessent and safety
• Wind effect
• Set up a trainer kite
• Know the use of safety systems
• Have basic flying skills with trainer kite
• Launch and land the trainer kite with an assistant
• Fly your kite using the wind window
• How to use full power in control
•How to create traction

What is included
Your course is taught by a professional IKO / BKSA instructor and includes 3 hours group teaching with no more than 4 students to one instructor, all of the kites,harness`s and helmets as required.
