Where to kite
Zones
Like most popular kite beaches Shoreham Beach has a dedicated Kite Zone that covers an area 100 meters either side of the roundabout located on the junction of Shingle road and Old Fort Road.
Winter Zoning
During the winter months we generally have most of the beach to our selves and so can rig and launch where you like. However, the kite zone is by far the safest location to rig, ride and land as there is no rocks, no groynes and no hidden dangers and all along the rest of the beach there are these dangers. So it is advisable to stick to the zone by the roundabout
Kitesurf club
As with most beaches there is a local club, for Shoreham it is the SKC.

Wind direction
Shoreham is a south facing beach so the following wind directions work;
South East – Side on from the left
Southerly – On Shore
South West – Side shore from the right (this wind direction is best)
Shoreham works best on a south westerley and 2 to 3 hours before and after low tide.
