Where to kite

Zones
The Kitesurfing zone is directly infront of the life guard hut opposite the King Alfred leasure centre car park.

King Alfred`s is more for the advanced rider as there can be big shore break and large rolling swell.

Kitesurfing is best here 2.5 hours either side of low tide but is particularly good for waves (as such) 2 hours before high tide for about an hour, enjoy but be careful coming back in to the beach as you can get picked up by the shore break and slammed!

Kitesurf club

King Alfreds doesnt have a kite club as is a Freeride spot.

Wind direction

Hove is a south facing beach so the following wind directions work;

South East – Side on from the left
Southerly – On Shore
South West – Side shore from the right (this wind direction is best)

Hove works best on a south westerley and 2 to 3 hours before and after low tide.
